Play on the Plaza

Energizing Public Seating for the Creation of Gathering Spaces at The Amazing Brentwood. To celebrate the 2024 Olympics, playful seating and games were designed and installed to drive additional foot traffic to Brentwood’s outdoor courtyard, resulting in a bold pops of colour that invited people to unwind, play and connect.

While working at MASSIVart, our team conceptualized, designed, and managed the production and installation of bespoke and playful outdoor modules. This activation introduces potential conversation starters and offers fresh ways to activate spaces, foster community engagement, and create playful, experiential installations.
I directed the project vision from the early consulting stages, highlighting the client needs, to the design of the different games and urban seatings in collaboration with Greg Barth. In addition, I designed and created the bold and colourful direction for this project, taking inspiration from the sports field lines of the summer Olympics, mixing them to create a patchwork-like pattern enveloping the installations.
